This leading international firm has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced commercial projects associate with strong domestic and international project finance and banking experience.

A leading City law firm with major international reach and an outstanding global client base, the role will be based within the firm’s Financial Institutions group working closely with just a few specialist partners. However there’s a large team of associates on hand and part of the role for this senior associate will to mentor those more junior.

Acting for both lenders and sponsors the group’s activates cover a broad range of sectors including energy power projects including oil & gas, nuclear, electricity and infrastructure. There will be tremendous opportunity for major involvement in domestic and international projects both from London and in tandem with the firm’s extensive network of international offices.

Those with prior experience of project finance work in sub Saharan Africa and Eastern Europe would be of particular interest, though those with UK qualified solicitors with major international experience will be of similar interest. First and foremost you’ll need to be an excellent lawyer with a strong pedigree. The partners are seeking a self-starter to play a major role in the team and therefore you’ll need to be a highly proficient practitioner and negotiator, a lateral thinker who will be an asset to the partners who are seeking someone to pass their high quality work on to without the need for constant management.
